Junior Partner | EPIC

IIM VISAKHAPATNAM | PGP Class of 2028

Lakshay Behl is a Junior Partner at EPIC and a first-year MBA student at the Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam (Class of 2028). He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT), Jaipur, where his academic and professional journey developed a strong foundation in design thinking, problem-solving, and multidisciplinary collaboration. His transition from architecture to management reflects his growing interest in understanding not just how spaces and projects are built, but how businesses, investments, and strategies shape their success.

Prior to joining IIM Visakhapatnam, Lakshay worked for over two and 11 months in the real estate and infrastructure sector, gaining experience across project execution, design management, consultant coordination, and Building Information Modelling (BIM). At L&T Realty, he worked on the 2.2 million sq. ft. L&T Mindtree Commercial Campus in Indore, contributing to the execution and coordination of a large-scale IT development. At Incubis Consultants, he worked across prominent projects involving organisations such as Adani and CK Birla, including the Adani Ahmedabad International Airport ecosystem and Rukmani Birla Hospital in Jaipur. These experiences exposed him to the intersection of design, commercial decision-making, stakeholder management, and large-scale project delivery.

At EPIC, Lakshay aims to build on this industry experience by exploring the entrepreneurial ecosystem through startup evaluation, market research, consulting, and venture-building initiatives. He is particularly interested in real estate, infrastructure, strategy, and business models that combine strong execution with scalable growth. He looks forward to working with founders and fellow student entrepreneurs to understand how ideas can be validated, structured, and transformed into sustainable ventures.

Leadership and community building have been consistent themes throughout Lakshay’s journey. During his time at MNIT Jaipur, he was actively involved in student and institutional initiatives while also representing the institute in powerlifting competitions. His experience of managing a gym team and competing at the inter-institute level strengthened his appreciation for discipline, teamwork, and performance under pressure. At IIM Visakhapatnam, he continues to actively engage with the student community through EPIC and other campus initiatives.

Beyond academics and professional pursuits, Lakshay has a keen interest in entrepreneurship, financial markets, real estate, and investment strategy. His MBA journey is driven by a broader ambition to bridge his understanding of the built environment with business strategy and capital allocation, particularly in sectors where physical infrastructure and entrepreneurial thinking come together.

At EPIC, Lakshay hopes to contribute a perspective shaped by both project execution and management education, while learning from founders, investors, mentors, and peers. He aspires to help transform promising ideas into commercially viable ventures and contribute to building a stronger, more collaborative entrepreneurial ecosystem at IIM Visakhapatnam.
