Romit Kruplani is a Partner at EPIC and a second-year MBA student at the Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam (Class of 2027). He holds a B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering from Parul Institute of Technology, Vadodara, where he graduated with a strong academic record of 8.94/10 and laid the foundation for a career at the intersection of technology, entrepreneurship, and leadership. He is also the lead behind TrueVote, a decentralized e-voting platform built on Ethereum and Solidity with React on the frontend and 95% test coverage via Mocha and Chai, a project that won the Tech Expo and cleared Level 1 of the Smart India Hackathon, demonstrating both technical depth and social impact.

Prior to his MBA, Romit spent three years as a Senior Software Engineer and a Team Lead at Capgemini, where he spearheaded offshore team leadership for a Grade II medical device project, a high-stakes, compliance-driven environment that demanded both technical precision and strategic coordination. During his tenure, he delivered 2 major releases and 4 engineering builds that collectively cut delivery cycles by 60 days, executed 150+ integration tests, and elevated code coverage from 46% to 89% using Jasmine and Karma. His technical toolkit spanned Erlang, Yocto Linux, Angular, SAP, and Azure DevOps, reflecting the breadth of his engineering expertise. He was also recognized as a Regional Brand Ambassador at Capgemini, finishing 1st among his peers, a testament to his professional impact beyond the codebase.

At EPIC, Romit channels this analytical rigor into the startup ecosystem. He has evaluated numerous early-stage ventures using structured frameworks such as the Berkus Method, identifying high-potential startups and supporting their journey toward funding.

Romit’s leadership journey began well before IIM Visakhapatnam. As Co-lead of Parul University’s Entrepreneurship Development Cell, he nurtured an innovation-first culture among students. His school years saw him serve as Head Boy, where he drove facility upgrades and organized large-scale exhibitions, and as House Captain, instilling in him a sense of accountability and team-first thinking that continues to define his approach today.

Beyond his core pursuits, Romit holds certifications in Equity Markets, Marketing, Power BI with Snowflake, Generative AI (IBM and DeepLearning.AI), and Blockchain (UC Irvine and Capgemini). He has also demonstrated his competitive edge in financial markets, finishing as a top performer in the Bulls & Bears trading competition with a profit of ₹23,000. His interests span AI, Blockchain, venture building, and financial analysis and he is actively engaged in India’s startup ecosystem with a keen eye on global tech opportunities.

At EPIC, Romit embodies the committee’s mission: to translate entrepreneurial passion into structured action, and early-stage ideas into fundable, scalable ventures.
